About the event
We're excited to have the Rivanna Conservation Alliance do a riparian buffer tree installation at PNB this month! Most of the work will be professionally done by a contractor, but there are a few smaller areas near the cemetery that are reserved for volunteers to plant. Join us to come plant saplings and learn about riparian buffers and how they prevent erosion! We will be planting 130 new tree and shrub seedlings along the banks of a stream.
RCA will provide all needed tools and instruction on-site. Volunteers should wear long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes. Please bring a water bottle. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
