About the event
On Sunday, March 15, Piedmont Discovery Center executed a prescribed fire throughout six acres of cemetery meadow land as part of our land restoration efforts. Join us in the cemetery this Saturday morning, just following the bird walk, to learn all about these efforts. This session will be led by Devin Floyd of PDC, who will share all about the process and answer any questions you may have about prescribed fire as restoration tool. We will explore what led us to introduce fire into the ecosystem, how the process went, and what we expect over the coming months and years. We look forward to seeing you there!
