About the event
Tap into peace with a guided walk amongst the trees, where we'll open our senses to the sights, sounds, and smells of nature. Local artist and meditation teacher Dana Wheeles has brought together two of her passions in this three-part series, in which we will explore different ways to ground our minds and bodies into the present moment. Our minds work best in environments with variety, with lots of sensory inputs, in community and with curiosity. Whether you're a longtime lover of birds and nature, or someone just starting to learn, this series will offer a chance to get to know your mind and your surroundings.
Binoculars are encouraged, but not required.
Please dress appropriately for walking through grassy and wooded areas in the summer. This walk is not intended to be strenuous, but you may want to protect your legs and feet with long pants and sturdy shoes.
We will cover some uneven terrain. If this is a concern for you or you would benefit from additional accommodations, please contact us and let us know. 434-424-1103.
