Come See Me In The Good Light is the 2025 Oscar Nominated and Sundance Film Festival Favorite Award winning documentary that chronicles American spoken-word poet and activist Andrea Gibson's journey after their terminal ovarian cancer diagnosis. Far from a traditional tragedy, the film, produced by comedian Tig Notaro, captures the epic love story between Andrea and their partner and poet Megan Falley as they navigate the unthinkable with honesty, humor, and an unshakable partnership. Join us for this luminous portrait of life and resilience, followed by a community conversation about the film and its impact.
This event is a Side Quest of Death Fest, an annual community gathering in Charlottesville, VA hosted by Woven Roots Collective, Panorama Natural Burial, and Hospice of the Piedmont, that explores grief, mortality, and the cycles of death and life.
