Fall Tree Walk

Days are getting shorter and fall color is starting to emerge around us. Let’s learn about fall foliage and see if trees can be identified by their colors.

Emily, a Charlottesville Area Tree Steward, will share easy tips to help you remember their identification.

This is a moderate hike over woodland trails.

If you are already a tree enthusiast, please bring your favorite tree ID book, hand lens, and/or binoculars as aids. Also, remember to dress for comfort as we will not  be walking very fast, wear hiking boots or sneakers, and bring water, if  necessary.

We love hosting tree walks at the burial ground. They are always incredible learning experiences.
