About the event
We are thrilled to be participating in LUA Project's 15th Annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration, which will kick off on November 6th at 5:30pm at the McGuffey Art Center with music, dance, art & more. There will be beautiful memorial altars and a community altar to contribute to, in addition to an installation remembering migrants who have died crossing the Sonoran Desert. The exhibit will be open to the public until November 14th. No need to RSVP, just come on by!

From McGuffey Art Center's Website:
Join us for our 15th Annual Día de Muertos Celebration, a time to come together to honor and remember our ancestors and loved ones who have passed.
For 15 years, we have created community altars filled with photographs, flowers, candles, favorite foods, and meaningful objects that help us remember those we love. Through art, music, dance, food, and remembrance, we celebrate the lives and stories that continue to be part of our community.
This year, McGuffey will also host Hostile Terrain 94, an installation that remembers migrants who have died crossing the Sonoran Desert. The exhibit invites us to reflect on the lives and journeys behind each name.
The exhibition will be open for viewing November 6–14, with an Opening Celebration on November 6 from 5:30–8:00 PM, featuring live performances, an open mic, food, artisan vendors, and community altars.
Community craft sessions: October 4 & 18th in Studio 11.
