Restoration Committee Summer Gathering

About the event

The Restoration Committee, the land stewardship initiative at Panorama Natural Burial, will have our summer meeting on July 27th,  2024, at our office at 690 Bent Oaks Drive, Earlysville, VA, 22936. This volunteer community forms a vital part of PNB's commitment to restoring the burial ground's meadowlands and wooded areas. We've had some success installing native habitat and removing invasive plants since we opened in March of last year, and we look forward to improving the space for years to come. Join us for snacks and drinks at 10:00 AM in the office conference room, followed by a walk through the burial ground to look at specifics.

PNB staff will share some of our plans for the summer, fall, and moving into the next year. There will be both new and current committee members, so we can spend some time getting to know everyone's interests and skills in the realm of land stewardship. We invite your questions and suggestions for management of the burial ground, especially from those committee members who have already spent time working on the land. Whether you are a seasoned master naturalist, have an interest in native plant restoration and a love for the natural world, or simply want to see the burial ground become ever more beautiful, please come! Our hopes are to continue building community around our shared stewardship of PNB and promote education and skill-building about native wildlife restoration in our area.

All are welcome to attend. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Can't join us for the event, but interested in land restoration and conservation? Consider joining our Restoration Committee!

We are growing our land stewardship initiative at PNB. A vibrant and generous group of volunteers have helped us with plantings, plannings, and more over the last months and we are excited to expand our crew and the breadth of the projects we can take on!

Every six months or so we will host a gathering for members of our community who are interested in learning more.

RSVP to this event to receive updates about our restoration efforts and opportunities to get involved!

You can also email for more information on ongoing efforts.

Looking forward to continuing to cultivate this space in collaboration with you!
